Origin Story Of the Hamsa Bracelet
The origins of the hamsa symbol date back more than 1800 years ago. The hamsa hand originated in ancient Mesopotamia (now modern day Iraq) and has come to mean many different things across a variety of religions.
Although some differences exist, the hamsa hand is universally known for its protective qualities. The symbol brings luck, health, happiness, and good fortune. For this reason, celebrities like Madonna and Jennifer Aniston have been known to wear hamsa jewelry.
